The task of shoemakers entails more than the actual production of shoes. They also prepare the model drawing, price calculation and the design of the shoes ordered. They choose the necessary materials, cut and then assemble the parts. At the end of the process, they perform quality control, as well as paint and polish the finished shoes. In addition, they repair damaged shoes. Shoemakers must be creative and perseverant, and they must also have good manual dexterity.
